technology plays the film at its original twenty-four frames per second on
a source such as Sony’s Blu-ray Disc™ player. You see-and hear-

More about the BRAVIA engine
The BRAVIA engine enhances the incoming image using a technique called ‘comb filtration’ this decreases cross colour distortion, dot crawl, and moiré (the distortion you get on patterns such as a check shirt). The engine boots the contrast by enhancing any areas of poor contrast within an image, creating an overall higher-contrast image.
The BRAVIA engine improves the tone range of the picture by expanding the range of gradation between colours and the light and dark shades. This means you see a much smoother image. The engine also smoothes motion shots. For example, fast moving pictures on earlier LCD panels suffered from motion blur. Motion conversion smoothes the diagonal lines of pixels in quick moving pictures, preventing jagged edges and bleeding colours. This makes it ideal for sport and action sequences.
The BRAVIA engine deepens the greens and blues, they are traditionally two of the weaker colours, the engine specifically enhances them to brighten and deepen blue and green subjects.
The BRAVIA engine improves the image by reducing interference pixel by pixel so the image will appear sharper. The engine strengthens the black pixels in a picture without darkening the overall picture meaning you get more detail in dark areas of the picture. The engine also cleans up the text on screen by using MPEG noise reduction technology to clean up the haze you often see around lettering and type. Therefore, any titles or text appears perfectly sharp on screen.
